Jim Coad and Jilli Rose

Jim Coad is a video artist and filmmaker who has worked extensively with remote indigenous communities around Australia. Based out of Castlemaine, his current collaborative project Video Architecture engages with communities to develop large-scale video projections focused around physical arts such as painting and movement. Jim is collaborating with the award winning co-owner of Phlesch Bubble Productions, Jilli Rose to present the interactive exhibit Adrift. Known for her lively and engaging multi-screen museum displays of ancient creatures and environments, Rose has also created award-winning graphics for documentary features and television series including the much-loved title sequence for the Discovery Channel’s Mythbusters. In their work Adrift, Coad and Rose invite live public interaction with the projected surface focusing around ships and boats to invoke a dialogue between the art and the viewer.
