Rosa Tato and Kasia Lynch
Kasia Lynch and Rosa Tato are Melbourne based artists with a shared affinity and commitment to making sculpture. Their respective art practices are invariably different in output though they both have a common love for the materiality of object making and the energetics of forms in space. In 2006, they were both recipients of the Cheung Kong Endeavor which saw them each travel individually to Shanghai on artist residency programs and earlier in their arts practices they were both selected as finalists for the prestigious Baldessin Sculpture Fellowship. Whilst both artists have celebrated and shared several notable professional achievements, the site-responsive project they have developed for the GSPF marks the first time they have collaborated in the process of making.
At undetermined times on Sat 20 July,Thu 25 July, Fri 26 July & Sat 27 July both Rosa Tato and Kasia Lynch will visit the space to subtly activate the space and create shifting light effects from their object based work.
