Dreamscape is a collection of animated collages by printmaking artists Soula Mantalvanos and Ellie Malin, focusing on line, light, colour and texture.
Ellie Malin is a print media artist based in Melbourne. Ellie works predominantly in relief woodblock printing, but is also experimental in other mediums. She completed a degree in Fine Arts whilst majoring in printmaking from Monash University in 2007. She has exhibited in group and solo shows and has been a finalist in numerous awards including The Senini Student Award at McClelland Gallery (2006), the Swan Hill Print ad Drawing Award (2012), Banyule Award for Works on Paper and recently exhibited at Australian Print Workshop Gallery (2013). Other major projects include collaborations with Australian fashion house Gorman (A/W 2013).
Soula Mantalvanos is a multidisciplinary artist working mainly in the mediums of painting, drawing and printmaking. She is creative director at Origin of Image (OoI) and has exhibited in group and solo shows and currently represented by Port Jackson Press and The Convent Daylesford. She has been a finalist in numerous awards including The Alice Bale Art Award and Williamstown Festival Contemporary Art Prize. She was semi finalist in The National Doug Moran Portrait Prize.
By collaborating both approaches they hope to create a piece that reflects a beloved and most creative neighbourhood.
