The Artbox Video Jam is a unique cinema experience presenting screen based works from Melbourne’s finest emerging video artists and filmmakers.

Artists were invited to submit works that responded to the curatorial theme of foreign worlds, exploring notions of moving to another physical space or an emotional space.

Gertrude Street, and the Atherton Gardens Estate in particular, is home to a diverse group of people living, working, and studying alongside one another. The Artbox Video Jam aims to bring together this community by giving audiences the chance to share an experience, inhabiting the foreign world together – the Artbox Truck.

Mark Hill is an artist and emerging curator from Melbourne. He joined the Yarra Youth Services Artbox Curators program in 2015 and has collaborated in shows exhibited at the Village festival and Napier Street Block Party. As an artist Mark has exhibited has exhibited at Signal Gallery and participate in a large scale stencil projected at NJC led by artist 23rd Key.
