Utilising archived newspapers from the State Library of Victoria’s microfilm collection, Information Superhighway is a visual metaphor for the ever-expanding progression of technology.

Viewers are invited to fall into a vacuum of continuous, fleeting and illegible information from the past, in order to reflect upon our current relationship with contemporary media.

Amber ter Hedde is a Melbourne based artist, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Art at RMIT University.

Through an experimental and multidisciplinary approach, her practice is responsive to the complex intersections of environmental philosophy, ecology, technology and connectedness.
