Multiple layers of visual effects split and distort footage of the picturesque Macedon Ranges to address our current unfurling future in society. If issues of global warming aren’t swiftly addressed, Life Box will be the future. It will be the way we will be forced to view nature when the devastating effects of global warming leave our world void of any environmental life. In the future, this billboard like projection will be on every corner, reminding humanity what once was and what can only be viewed digitally now.
Grace is currently completing her third year of a Bachelor of Fine Arts at RMIT University on an awarded scholarship for her artistic endeavours. It was in this context that she found her own unique style of mixing stop motion animation with digital film. Evolving into this contemporary visual medium she has successfully exhibited in numerous exhibitions and created projection commissions for touring bands. With her hand drawn stop motion animations and dynamic time lapse works, Grace has exhibited in; The Gertrude Street Projection Festival 2014; Richmond Housing Estate’s The Space Between the Light Festival 2014 and Flinders Lane’s Wall Of Art in 2016.
