RIVER OF DREAMS
RIVER OF DREAMS transforms a familiar urban space with light, colour and movement into an imaginary stream where flowers are dreams, carried along by the gentle currents of fate.
All too often, our modern existence is consumed by the pressures of an increasingly fast-paced society. This projection work offers a moment of respite and wonder to all ages, and hopes to rekindle an aspect of our childhood dreams at a time when an increasingly challenging future unfurls.
Jutta Pryor works in multimedia and is a current candidate in the Master of Arts (Art in Public Space) at RMIT University. Her interests stem from international online collaboration across diverse creative fields working with sound, moving image and word to create immersive installations, projection works and poetry films. The internet plays an important part in facilitating her creative process enabling online file sharing. The properties of file sharing online are in synergy with the properties of projection works, facilitating an ephemeral immersive environment with the capacity to transform our perceptions, momentarily giving us respite from the mundane and reconnecting us with our imagination.
