Friday and Saturday
6pm - 9pm
RLX Field is a temporary, immersive space designed for relaxation and pause, a vibrating field of projected patterns created by featured artist Kate Geck, welcoming you into the Atherton Gardens. Step inside and surround yourself in projected patterns, letting the wash of colour and movement disconnect your busy mind.
On Saturday night, bring a rug to lie down and listen to a special guided meditation while the AV energy recharges you. Every half hour the truck will transmit a mantra of sound and light to guide you into a meditative state. With special viewing masks, you will experience the Gardens in a whole new way.
Kate Geck is an installation artist working with digital and sensory space. She is interested in the ways technology can affect sensory experience and the differences between what she terms mediated and non-mediated immediacy. Her installations feature acrylic sculpture, kaleidoscopic projections and augmented digitally printed substrates.
