I stand watching the future unfurl from an imagined space between past and future as an observer marking the passing of time as being a movement through a stairwell, door, gap in the digital space. This is an interstitial point where the past and future are connected by memories, stories, people who have all met at this point and passed through.

Jacob Tolo

Born in Samoa and raised in Auckland, New Zealand before moving to Melbourne. With a background in Graphic and Multi-media Design he is also an exhibiting artist and curator. Co-founder of the Indigenous-run arts space Blak Dot Gallery (2011 – 2014), ┬áhe is also a founding member of the Contemporary Pacific Arts Festival and Visual Arts Coordinator (2012 – 2014). Jacob now spends most of his time searching for the perfect emoji to express everything.
